Waypoint Retreats
A Weekend to Slow Down, Connect, and Be Outside

Waypoint Retreats are accessible weekend camping experiences for Service Members, Veterans, and their Families.

You don't need to be an experienced camper. You don't need to be an outdoors expert. And you don't need to show up ready to talk about anything you don't want to talk about.

Waypoint is about spending time together.

Before attending your first Waypoint, we ask participants to begin connecting with the Foxhole community through our Discord and a Campfire Social. That way, when you arrive at camp, you're not walking into a group of complete strangers.

What a Waypoint Weekend Looks Like

Friday: Arrive, set up camp, share dinner, spend time together, and gather around the community campfire.

Saturday: Breakfast, an accessible group hike, family and free time, lunch, a hands-on skill-building workshop, dinner, and an evening community campfire.

Sunday: Breakfast, time together, camp breakdown, and the trip home.

We intentionally leave room in the schedule.

Waypoint is not meant to feel like a conference or a weekend packed with activities. Some of the best moments happen over coffee, around a fire, during a walk, while playing a game with the kids, sharing a meal, or simply sitting around talking.

Veterans and Families

Waypoint is built around Veterans and their Families experiencing the weekend together.

Spouses, partners, children, and family members are not an add-on to the retreat. They are part of it.

Shared meals, hikes, campfires, activities, and downtime are designed to give families space to reconnect with one another while also becoming part of the broader Foxhole community.

It is one small part of a weekend centered on families spending time together.

What Waypoint Is Not

Waypoint is not therapy, treatment, or a clinical program.

It is a chance for Veterans and their Families to step away from the normal routine, spend time outdoors, learn something useful, meet people who understand the military experience, and reconnect with each other and the community around them.
