Governance & Transparency

American Flag Outdoors

At The Foxhole Project, leadership is more than oversight. It’s a commitment to service, integrity, and connection. We believe that the best guidance comes from those who understand the journey firsthand. That’s why our leadership team is composed of veterans, professionals, and community members who bring both lived experience and a deep sense of responsibility to the table.

We don't lead from above, we lead alongside. Whether it's shaping the direction of a retreat, making key organizational decisions, or holding space for others, our team leads with empathy, transparency, and purpose. We value shared responsibility, open communication, and the belief that healing happens best when it's peer-led and community-driven.

This page introduces you to the people who guide our work and the structures that hold us accountable. Here, you’ll find our board of directors, meeting practices, public documents, and the values that shape every decision we make. We’re proud to operate openly, plan strategically, and invite our community to be a part of that process. Not just as observers, but as partners in the mission.

Organizational Bylaws

Our bylaws serve as the foundational guide for how The Foxhole Project is governed and operated. They outline the roles and responsibilities of our board, define how decisions are made, and ensure we remain transparent, ethical, and mission-focused. More than just a legal requirement, our bylaws help us stay aligned with our values and accountable to the Veterans, Service Members, and Families we serve.

Strategic Plan

Our strategic plan is a living roadmap that guides The Foxhole Project’s vision for impact, growth, and sustainability over the next three years. It outlines our key focus areas, defines organizational goals, and maps out actionable steps to better serve Service Members, Veterans, and their Families. Grounded in real community needs and guided by our core values of trust, connection, and post-traumatic growth, this plan keeps us focused, accountable, and mission-driven.

Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors provides strategic direction, operational oversight, and mission-focused leadership for The Foxhole Project. Each member brings lived experience, professional knowledge, and a shared commitment to serving those who have served. The Board helps ensure our programs remain effective, ethical, financially responsible, and aligned with our mission of reconnecting Veterans, Service Members, and Families through trust, peer connection, and community.

Board Meetings

The Board of Directors meets monthly on the second Friday at 0900 Mountain Time to guide strategic planning, review organizational progress, and ensure The Foxhole Project remains aligned with its mission and values. Regular meetings include a public portion whenever appropriate, and community members are welcome to attend through our Discord. The Board may enter closed executive session when discussing confidential matters such as personnel, legal issues, donor privacy, participant safety, or sensitive organizational business.

Meeting Minutes

We believe that transparency builds trust, both within our team and with the community we serve. To honor that commitment, we share summaries of our board meetings so you can stay informed about the decisions we make, the direction we’re heading, and how we’re working to fulfill our mission. Meeting summaries will be posted below as they become available.
