Veterans Service Day at Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve
The Foxhole Project, in collaboration with the National Parks Conservation Association, is inviting volunteers to join us for a day of service at Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve in collaboration with the National Parks Conservation Association. This event is an opportunity to come together, work hard, and make a real impact through practical projects that help the park stay safe, functional, and welcoming.
We are coordinating with park staff on several potential projects for the day, including:
Green Waste Removal
Support cleanup along park roads and administrative areas by helping remove branches and other green waste left behind from hazard mitigation work. Park crews have been cutting dead trees to reduce falling and fire hazards, and volunteer help may be needed to load and dispose of remaining material if that work is not already completed before th…
